Method Works Consulting invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of Administrative Assistant. We are a non-profit systems consultancy who strives to help charities work smarter through the intelligent use of technology. We work exclusively with not-for-profits, charities, and foundations to find efficiencies in their systems, support their initiatives, do more online, and change themselves for the better.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about charities and the causes they serve, and are interested in building relationships with the organizations we work with. The successful candidate will be an excellent collaborator and communicator – both written and oral – and have remarkable organizational skills. Your biggest job will be to provide administrative and editorial support to the management team and consultants.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
There are three main areas this position will support: Maintaining records, editing documents, and monitoring client requests. This specifically includes, but is not necessarily limited to:

Preparing documents such as status reports, proposals, letters, and memos

Reviewing documentation, summarizing notes, formatting reports

Conducting research as required

Supporting and building client relationships, communicating and following up on all client requests

Ensuring all electronic records are up-to-date

Attending and supporting consultants and management during client meetings
QUALIFICATIONS

A passion for charitable and non-profit organizations

2 years minimum post-secondary education (degree or diploma preferred) in communications, not- for-profit studies, commerce, business or a related field

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills

Must be highly organized and detail oriented

Maintain tact and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information

Excellent internet and computer skills especially Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project and Visio, Blackbaud products (such as The Raiser’s Edge), or knowledge of HTML/CSS would be great
WORK ENVIRONMENT

We have frequent on-site client meetings, so the ability to get around Calgary is important

Some travel may be required
